Kensington Neighbourhood

The Kensington neighbourhood is part of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.  For hundreds of years, Kensington has been the home of the kings and queens of England, from Henry VIII through to William and Kate.  From Earls Court, close to our hotel, through to Kensington Palace, the streets around us are frequently trodden by royalty.

In-keeping with its royal reputation, Kensington boasts many high-end shops and attractions. Just down the road from our hotel in Kensington, you will find Harrods of Knightsbridge: One of the most renowned and classy department stores in the United Kingdom. A short stroll to the north will take you to Hyde Park, the largest of London’s royal parks and home to Kensington Palace, the Princess Diana memorial fountain and the golden Albert Memorial, commissioned by Queen Victoria herself following the death of her beloved husband.

Between our Kensington hotel and Hyde Park is one of the United Kingdom’s most famous and historic music venues, the Royal Albert Hall. Boasting everything from the London Symphony Orchestra to contemporary performances, the Royal Albert Hall guarantees to impress and is a stunning piece of architecture in its own right.
